Where once the company OSRAM produced its world-famous light bulbs are young innovative companies based even today. 1898/1899 was the red brick building in Berlin-Charlottenburg between the Spree and the Landwehrkanal first built as bulbs factory Siemens & Halske. The Auer-Gesellschaft had patented the OSRAM brand in 1906 and merged with AEG and Siemens & Halske in 1919 - and has been eventually the company OSRAM.

Various industries represented on the renovated industrial complex of the GSG Helmholtzstraße 2-9, 10587 Berlin: from architecture through mail order and light measuring technology to dentistry. Established in the neighborhood are well-known companies such as Daimler AG, the Fraunhofer Institut, the IAV GmbH Ingenieurgesellschaft Auto und Verkehr and the Innovation Center of the Deutsche Telekom. The business park is situated in Charlottenburg campus in close proximity to renowned research institutions of the Technische Universität Berlin and the Universität der Künste.
