DSPECIALISTS receives Best Practice-Award

DSPECIALISTS Digitale Audio- und Messsysteme GmbH, provider of development services and distributor of digital signal processing products was given the Best Practice Award from the German Institute for Standardisation. DIN bestows the award every year on companies who integrate standards into their business processes in a particularly exemplary manner thus promoting rationalisation, quality assurance and understanding. The award ceremony took place on 29 November 2012 at Berlin’s Museum for Communication and it comes with a prize of 5,000 euros.

Software Update for AUBION X.8

A new software update for AUBION X.8 is available. In addition to various performance optimizations, the new software version includes higher sample rates. Until now the user could only choose between 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz: after the software update the system also allows 96 kHz. The measurement bandwidth increases to nearly 50 kHz due to this enhancement.

HARVEY mx.16 becomes network capable

DSPECIALISTS has announced at the IBC in Amsterdam that the audio and media control matrix HARVEY mx.16 will be extended by the network capability feature.

Several HARVEY units can be connected via Ethernet and can exchange control data between the units. A version equipped with a Cobranet module is also available, which enables the exchange of audio data. While DSPECIALISTS is initially focusing on Cobranet, other network standards will be supported in the future.
