HARVEY® Pro at the ROFA Stadium in Rosenheim, Bavaria
The ROFA Stadium is an ice rink in Rosenheim, Bavaria, which is used by the Starbulls Rosenheim, among others. At the start of the 2025/2026 season, numerous measures were completed to contribute to an even more atmospheric stadium atmosphere – from new seats and optimised visitor flow at the kiosks to better sound and speech intelligibility.
A particular challenge in ice stadiums is the large number of reflective surfaces, such as the playing field and concrete stands. This results in a reverberation time RT60 of 6 seconds in the ROFA Stadium. Only by optimally combining the products into a coherent system can speech intelligibility above the legally required level be achieved. The microphones suspended in the stadium play a central role in the PA sound system: they measure the current acoustic conditions, transmit these signals to the dynamic system and thus ensure the optimal sound reinforcement strategy for the respective scenario.

In collaboration with Raum+Schall, MH-PlanTech and ProXAudio, companies that offer tailor-made sound reinforcement concepts for businesses, public institutions, sports venues, restaurants, clubs and discotheques, HARVEY Pro 8x8-DA-AES8 was installed for audio signal distribution, alongside other systems.
HARVEY® is a freely programmable audio DSP that offers numerous control interfaces and was developed by DSPECIALISTS GmbH for permanent installations in theatres, churches, hotels and conference rooms. In addition to its excellent audio quality, another key feature is the simple and flexible interconnection of the audio communication channels. With HARVEY Pro 8x8-DA-AES8, up to 80x80 audio channels can be linked together in the highest quality via Dante, AES or analogue. This enables precise and dynamic control of all audio components.
DSPECIALISTS will be presenting HARVEY® at Integrated Systems Europe in Barcelona at stand 7H280 from 3 to 6 February 2026.
